Ben Geren paved bicycle trail — back-of-park trailhead: short bicycle return
Fort Smith
Up to 1 mile return · Out-and-back
Paved bicycle trail; not the separate shale fitness or mountain-bike routes
Follow the signed main path from the back-of-park bicycle trailhead along the main paved route toward Massard Road. Turn after 0.5 outward miles or before the first public-road crossing, work barrier, uncertain continuation or uncomfortable transition, whichever comes first; retrace. Walk any initial lot or access-drive interface. Do not use a road or private-property detour.
Coler Applegate short return from South Gateway
Bentonville
Up to 2 miles · Out-and-back
Paved Applegate shared-use path
Head north on signed Applegate, the broad paved valley route, toward Homestead and Airship. Use only open paved connections and walk narrow creek-bridge approaches. Turn before the busy Airship forecourt, after one outward mile, or at a barrier or uncomfortable section, whichever comes first. Retrace the same pavement. The actual short return can be less than two miles. Exclude The Rise stairs, Hub climbs, dirt mountain-bike lines, road crossings and cafe service areas.
Craighead Forest Park: the paved bicycle loop
Jonesboro
About3.1milesplusunmeasuredparkingwalk · Loop
Paved park loop; separate soft trails excluded.
Follow the park’s paved Walk / Jog / Bike Trail for a circuit through woods and beside the lake. This is the separate shared-use path shown in yellow on the city park map. The lake-edge chat walking trail, mountain-bike trails, pump track and vehicle loop road are different routes.
Delta Heritage Trail: Barton to Lick Creek return
Barton / Helena–West Helena
About 3.2 miles · Out-and-back
Fine crushed gravel
Follow the signed former railway south toward Lick Creek. At Lick Creek turn on the trail side before entering AR 85 or its road shoulder, and retrace to Barton. The park recommends this short return. An intermediate local road crosses the route: dismount, stop and cross only when clear at the signed trail crossing. If a crossing is uncomfortable, turn there for a shorter ride. Do not make the return on Old Little Rock Road or continue over bridges toward Lake View.
Delta Heritage Trail: short railbed return from Rohwer
Rohwer
Up to about 1 mile · Out-and-back
Fine crushed gravel
Follow the signed railbed north toward Watson. Turn before the first public-road crossing, which the park places about half a mile north of Rohwer, then return the same way. Turn earlier for loose gravel or a barrier. Stay on the developed railway; do not ride Rohwer Lane, cross AR 1, take the shared levee roadway toward Arkansas City or cross the road to the heritage site as part of this outing.
Hot Springs Creek: very short Transportation Plaza return
Hot Springs
Up to 0.5 mile · Out-and-back
Paved greenway / plaza
Follow the creekside greenway south through Transportation Plaza toward Grand Avenue. Turn before Grand Avenue, a vehicle crossing or event barrier, or after a quarter-mile outward, whichever comes first. Retrace the same pavement. This is a very short introduction and may be less than half a mile. Walk busy plaza sections and lot interfaces. Do not cross Grand Avenue, enter a road lane or add Valley Street’s skatepark and Velocity skills area.
Kinley / Tucker Creek short return from Gatling Park
Conway
Up to 2 miles · Out-and-back
Paved shared-use trail
Follow the signed Kinley / Tucker Creek path south away from Tyler Street toward Pompe Park. Stay on the paved creekside main path. Turn after one outward mile, before a public-road crossing, barrier or uncomfortable bridge, whichever comes first, and retrace. Do not cross Tyler Street, continue to Salem Road or enter Pompe’s dirt flow-trail berms and jumps. Walk the lot connection and narrow bridge approaches; a blocked approach means postpone.
Lake Fayetteville: short paved return from Veterans Park
Fayetteville
Up to 2 miles return · Out and back
Paved multi-use lake trail
Join the signed paved lake trail from the park and ride up to one mile, then retrace. Turn earlier at bridge work, a road interface or any natural-surface branch; do not follow the dirt nature loop.
Nix Creek short return from the north trailhead
Texarkana
Up to 2 miles · Out-and-back
Paved shared-use trail
Follow the paved Nix Creek path south from the north trailhead. Turn after one outward mile or before the first neighborhood-street crossing, barrier or uncomfortable section, whichever comes first. Retrace. The actual outing may be shorter than two miles. Do not cross Arkansas Boulevard or continue through street crossings toward Ed Worrell Park and the southern end. Walk the parking approach and driveway interfaces.
Two Rivers Park short paved woodland return
Little Rock
Up to 2 miles · Out-and-back
Paved park path
Follow the main paved path east from the turning-loop parking, then toward the wooded peninsula and Two Rivers Bridge. Turn after one outward mile, before reaching the bridge, a public-road crossing, a barrier or an uncomfortable section, whichever comes first. Return the same way. On the city map choose orange paved paths; exclude yellow natural trails, gray vehicle roads, the green on-road link, garden spurs and boat launches. Walk the parking interface. No bridge crossing or road riding is required.
Walker Park short return on the west-side greenway
Fayetteville
Up to 1 mile · Out-and-back
Paved shared-use greenway
Head north on the paved greenway along Walker Park’s west side, toward the downtown / Frisco direction. Turn after half a mile outward or before the first at-grade public-street crossing, barrier or uncomfortable section, whichever comes first. Return the same way; the actual park outing may be shorter than one mile. Walk internal lot and drive interfaces. This is the west-side greenway, not the full 1.2-mile park perimeter loop. Exclude dirt bicycle skills lines, the splashpad, street riding and the full South Loop detour.
