Arthur Ray Teague Parkway riverside trail: short bicycle return
Bossier City
Up to 1 mile return · Out-and-back
Asphalt bicycle / walking path; inspect flood silt and pavement
Follow the signed main path south on the separate asphalt riverside main trail. Turn after 0.5 outward miles or before the first public-road crossing, work barrier, uncertain continuation or uncomfortable transition, whichever comes first; retrace. Walk any initial lot or access-drive interface. Do not use a road or private-property detour.
Audubon Park: main exercise bicycle loop
New Orleans
About 1.8 miles loop · Loop
Paved main exercise loop
Follow the designated bicycle lane and posted direction for one full main exercise-loop circuit around the park’s central landscape and golf area. Return to the same public-lot connection. Keep off the separate dirt walking path, golf-course paths, Zoo grounds and riverfront street extensions. Walk entrance and pedestrian interfaces.
Festival Grounds: one-mile bicycle circuit
New Orleans City Park
About 1 mile loop · Loop
Asphalt multi-use perimeter loop
Join the main perimeter path by Reunion Shelter, follow the bicycle lane and any directional signs for one complete circuit of the Festival Grounds, and return to the same connection. Stay on the continuous green-mapped perimeter route around the lawn, not the playground circle, school grounds, streets, Big Lake loop or Wisner natural trails. Walk drive and pedestrian junctions.
Lafitte Greenway: short return from Basin Street
New Orleans
Up to 2 miles return · Out and back
Paved separated urban greenway
Follow the signed main Greenway west up to one mile, then retrace. Stop at each street crossing and use the marked crossing when clear; turn earlier if crossings exceed your comfort.
Tammany Trace: short return from Koop Drive
Mandeville / Northshore
Up to 3 miles return · Out-and-back
Asphalt main rail-trail
Take the main orange-mapped Trace in the Mandeville / Sharp Road direction. Turn BEFORE Sharp Road, any earlier road interface, work barrier or uncomfortable transition; retrace. Do not enter a road detour, the parallel horse trail or the green share-road extension. If the lot connection is blocked, postpone.
Zemurray Big Lake bicycle loop
New Orleans
0.75 mi · Loop
Asphalt loop with separate bicycle and pedestrian lanes.
Ride one short circuit of Big Lake in New Orleans City Park on the Zemurray Multi-Use Path. The park describes 0.75 mile of asphalt, with a lane for bicycles and a lane for pedestrians. Add the walk between your parking space and the loop to that distance. This is a relaxed lake circuit with art, trees and places to pause; pedestrians, children and rental cycles can make it busy.
